Tip #1:  Spray paint and artificial leaves and vegetation can save you time with your ghillie suit upkeep.  If you know you're going to be in an area with a certain tree species (i.e. oaks or maple), go to a hobby store a purchase an artificial leaf garland and use the leaves on your suit.  Spray painting them will take away some of the glossiness and help color match to your environment.

Tip #2:  A piece of polyester mesh (6 x 8 inch) attached to the brim of a hat makes a quick and easy face veil that still allows you to see through it and obscures facial features and eye movement.

Tip #3:  Elastic bands sewn to the sleeves and legs provide a fast way to secure natural vegetation to your ghillie suit.

Tip #4:  Making artificial leaves that simulate poison ivy, poison oak and Virginia creeper (commonly mistaken for poison ivy) to add to your ghillie suit or ghillie blanket will keep people from getting to close during paintball competitions and keeps cache entrances hidden better.

Tip #5:  Finding netting can be a challenge.  Here's a link to an eBay seller and his eBay storefront.  He has a wider variety of net sizes and they dye very easily with Rit dyes.  This is where I buy most of my netting for my ghillie suits.  Here's the link: http://stores.ebay.com/nauticalnetsbouysandmore
